Easter!
If the jackalope were co-operating (which they are not, they are instead being rather resolute about not co-operating in any way shape or form) there would be one here, probably coloured in pale yellows, blues and pinks and exclaiming something cute and rabbity about the joys of Easter, but alas-! Not only to jackalope think being called a rabbit as an insult (a rather grave one actually, it's like calling an Oxford Professor a chimpanzee) they have decided to ignore this quaint little human custom entirely. Several of them, including Monkjack, Diesel, Maurice and Pembrook are valiantly managing to ignore it rather loudly. So I am very much aware of the fact that they are ignoring it.
An attempt was actually made to summon the Spirit of Easter. Well, Oddin got his whisker's fried and the plants in Aldis's Apothecary were made even... deader than usual. The spirit appeared momentarily, but was so distraught at it's own existence it promptly winked out of existence again and in the process almost set fire to the Haunted Apothecary. (The ghosts would like me to note that they are equally upset at all of this Easter business.)
So, then I found myself speaking to the aures. Well, Vincent and Florence, not the best examples of that fine and noble species, but nevertheless. Sadly, they were too busy mocking the jackalope to be of any help. I am assured that no harm has yet come to them, but don't worry, it won't be too far off.
The aelurs, the wonderful and peace-loving creatures they are, decided to help and they pointed out a large pile of sleeping baby bunnies. They'd found them in the catacombs while cleaning up from the earthquake and quickly discovered that they didn't seem to grow up. In some parts of the temple they'd actually been using the little creatures as doorstops as they do an awful lot of sleeping and not a lot of anything else. Still... They're very cute and rather in keeping with the theme. However, they are likely to be some strange experiment from the twisted mind of some long-dead mage... Or something Oddin cooked up when he was a bit off of his rocker. (Though he denies ever having seen them before in his life.)
So have an Easter Jackalope? Obviously they can't breed and they're about as useful as paperweights and take the same amount of looking after. Still, they're quite cute.

Re: Easter!
I shalt be taking one. ^^ Also, Aldis would like to say that no Jackalope/ghosts/living things were harmed in the making of attempting to get the Easter Spirit.

Re: Easter!
Wy: There wasn't that much damage to all the catacombs beneath. Nothing really collapsed, stuff just cracked, debris fell and the plagued jackalope escaped. Everything was still solid, so if they'd been hidden down one of the tunnels, nothing really would have happened to them. Hehe. xD;
Anyway, that pretty much finishes up easter. The Easter Jackalope are no longer available ~
