Just an Ordinary Hill (Working title)

You happen to stumple upon a hill - a hill that happens to be the home of one of the newer residents here. A large old oak tree sits upon the hill with some birch trees and a pine tree, multi-colored leaves litter the ground as fall approaches - Different size crates and boxes sit next to the door along with a large number of cages and tanks (like aquarium tanks) covered with a heavy sort of cloth. Though much to your dismay, two of the cages are open! You secretly hoped that whatever was in the cages are friendly. You then find a sign a few feet from the door and it reads:

Home of Universe Crosser (And Twisted Scientist!) [insert name here]
Warning! If you see or stumple upon one of the owner's 'friends' while here, run like the wind!

You grow confused, what the heck was a Universe Crosser and why would the owner's name be roughly scratched out? Your thoughts are interrupted by a low but somewhat loud growl. Your head instantly snaps into the direction the growl was heard, two creatures stood on top of the hill under the large oak's shadow. The larger creature look like a mix of a theropod dinosaur and a dragon but without the wings, a medium-sized axe was connected to it's left arm. The smaller creature sat in the tree and it looked human but it's legs and arms looked almost reptilian-like - The creatures watched you carefully. You start to slowly turn in a different direction and decide to look at some of the burrows around the hill - You dare not turn your head to look back, the creatures could still be watching.
