I don't socialize much... {Wyvern and I}

It was a nice day, and Spring had decided that it would be perfect to go reading somewhere nice and quiet. Packing up one of her favorite books, Pride and Prejudice, and a picnic basket full of goodies, she made her way to the Meadowland. Finding a nice spot, she lay out the blanket she had brought to lay on, setting the picnic basket in one corner. It took only a moment or two for her to settle into a comfortable position, laying on her stomach, with her book open in front of her. Within moments, she was caught up in the world of the Bennet sisters and Mr. Darcy.

Completely absorbed in her book, Spring almost didn't notice the other jackalope...almost. However, his waving and the fact that he was wearing quite purple soon caught her attention, and she blushed, shyly waving back. Placing a bookmark in her book to save her spot, she sat up, quickly running her fingers through her hair, knowing it was probably a curly, tangled mess. "H-hello," she stammered, trying to summon up the courage to talk to him. She was nervous enough around strangers, but around a guy, it was even worse. "It's a b-beautiful day, isn't it?" At least her stammer was almost gone. Now if she could get that infernal blush to leave her face, then perhaps she would appear a normal girl, instead of a shy, foolish one.

It appeared that the male was moving slowly in an attempt to ease her fears - a fact that instantly resulted in a small smile. She moved slightly closer to him, her white-striped nose scrunching as she inhaled the scents for any potential dangers, a nervous habit she had. Finally, after what seemed like centuries, she spoke. "Oh, no, I was simply reading," she said in a quiet, dreamy voice. "I've read this book several times, so I don't mind being interrupted." Suddenly realizing that she hadn't introduced herself, Spring blushed again. "My name is Spring." She gave a slight, graceful little half-curtsy as she said it. "And what is your name?"

"Neku..." The name seemed to roll off of Spring's tongue as if on its own accord. "I like it," she said, smiling and blushing at the same time. "Well, if you want to know why I'm really here, it's all of this." She gestured to the surrounding area. "The grass, the sky, the wildlife. It's just beautiful, and I come here to enjoy it." Her blush deepened as she wondered what exactly Neku would think of that. Perhaps he would fine her a silly, foolish dreamer and leave? The thought saddened Spring, but it wasn't exactly a foreign feeling.
